I turned 'ALL' off about a year ago and it stayed that way.

This ban encouraged me to turn it on again for about 10 minutes this weekend. I went in and out of some bigger towns and the screen filled up with kids hurling misspelt abuse at each other. Bring back trade spam for all I care.

I've gone back to just Guild, Team and Whisper on.

It's amazing how biased people can be, just to support their own view. The bad thing is that they seem to be only expressing themselves in one issue.

I'm starting to think spamming is actually the worst problem in Guild Wars. Just look at the supporters, and how intensely and religiously they support their exaggerated resolutions.

Is that guy whining because he compared the Local Chat new policy to some oppression history? You want to talk about abusing? Macro users, "bots", leechers, scammers, gold sellers, etc, etc, and it's the spammers that get the worse out of you?

This is clearly an attitude similar to those of the rage quitters in Pvp. Now, no one can even say the word SPAM without having all of you ranting exactly the same rants, over and over, just to, once again, make your point... "Yes... spammers are bad... Some news..."

I'd like to see this rage expressed in other problems as well, which I think it will never be. They created this scape goat for whenever they feel irritated, they come in here to let it all out. On the stupid spammers.

How "grown up" is that? ^^

nope. team would ditch you, guild would kick you, alliance would talk to your guild or kick it, whispered people would put you on ignore.

That leaves All and Trade... ok so what should you put there hmmm lets think really hard... we want to trade.. where to put trade talk ZOMG ITS SOOOOOOO HARD TOO PICK!! Q.Q!!!

Local/all chat is for talking LFG GLF [xxxx] is recruiting
TRADE is for TRADE wow sounds so simple when you compare the two words :P

put spam bans in if you want idc, but the trade in trade chat is a good move

Spam is sucky. Sure, one could disable the channel. Or the people causing the suckiness in the first place could face the banstick. I like #2.
